Introducing our 2024 Featured Artist

We are honored to announce that Artist Jake Basso will be our Featured Artist for 2024.

This public art project will feature new works created and installed monthly on the grounds in front of The James and available for viewing by the public.

Throughout 2024, large scale sculptures created by artist Jake Basso will be introduced the first week of each month and be featured for the duration of that month.

We are excited to start off 2024 with Basso's sculpture, "OK," which is a mixed media piece created out of found items made of metals and other materials.

For more information on Artist Jake Basso and his work, follow him on Instagram @JakeBassoArt.

20-21-22 Juried Art Show

Juried by Sarah Hutt

The years 2020, 2021 & 2022 have been a challenge to all. We have been forced to come face to face with a global pandemic, racial injustice, civil and political unrest, grievous attacks on women’s reproductive rights, attacks on our democracy, along with devastating effects of global climate change. The intent of this exhibition is to honor and showcase artists and their work created during these turbulent and unprecedented times, as well as inspire others to continue or start on a journey of their own personal artistic expression.

Massachusetts South Shore Woodturners

The MASSACHUSETTS SOUTH SHORE WOODTURNERS group started with just 11 members in 1996. The group has grown to over 80 members, but their goals have remained the same. Their mission is to foster awareness and appreciation of the skill and artistry of wood turning through continued education for members and the public at large.
