South Shore poets Jean L. Kreiling & Elaine Sorrentino share their poems and distinctive perspectives on home, family, the arts, and more.

Jean L. Kreiling is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently Home and Away. Her work has been awarded the Frost Farm Prize, the Rhina Espaillat Poetry Prize, the Kim Bridgford Memorial Sonnet Prize, and three New England Poetry Club prizes, among other honors. Professor Emeritus of Music at Bridgewater State University, she has published articles on the intersections between music and literature in numerous academic journals.

Elaine Sorrentino, author of Belly Dancing in a Brown Sweatsuit (Kelsay Books, 2025) is Communications Director at South Shore Conservatory, and facilitates the Duxbury Poetry Circle. A fan of ekphrastic poetry, she has been published in Minerva Rising, Willawaw Journal, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Gyroscope Review, Ekphrastic Review, Quartet Journal, ONE ART: a journal of poetry, Cool Beans Lit, and Haikuniverse.
