This six-week exhibition highlights a diverse range of contemporary artistic voices working in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional media. Open to artists across disciplines, the Fall Juried Show offers an opportunity for creative practitioners to share their work in a professional gallery setting while engaging with the broader South Shore arts community.

Each year’s juried exhibition reflects a wide spectrum of artistic approaches, materials, and themes, showcasing the depth and vitality of regional visual arts practice. From painting and photography to sculpture, mixed media, and experimental forms, the show celebrates both established and emerging artists.

This year’s juried exhibition features Julie Lohnes, who currently serves as the Director/Curator of Galleries and Collections at the University of Tennessee School of Art. She has more than 25 years of experience in contemporary art in nonprofit, commercial, and academic galleries, with extensive experience in the art of curatorial practice. In addition to her knowledge, Julie Lohnes holds an M.F.A. from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, Boston, and a B.F.A. from Boston University.

As a guest-curated exhibition, the Fall Juried Show brings a fresh curatorial perspective to the James Library Gallery, encouraging dialogue between artists and audiences and fostering appreciation for contemporary artistic expression.
