About The Borromeo String Quartet

The internationally-acclaimed Borromeo String Quartet has inspired audiences for 29 years with its visionary performances, earning a reputation as one of the most important ensembles of our time. The James Center for the performing Arts is thrilled to welcome the exciting ensemble to help celebrate 25 years of music at the Arts Center on October 27th. Hailed as “simply the best” by the Boston Globe, the BSQ brings its dynamic engaging performances of Haydn’s Op76/No. 5, Mendelssohn Op. 13, and a brand new work, Quartet #4, “Soliloquy,” written for the quartet by Israeli composer Lior Navok. Join this “… fearless ensemble” for “an extraordinary experience.” Please note that violist Mai Motobuchi will be replaced by Luther Warren at this performance.
